Hedgeapples, Part II
I have decided that it was not at all lazy or improper of us to leave our hedgeapples lie in the backyard last fall, like this:
You see the piles of sawdust looking stuff in the photo here?
That is what squirrels do to hedgeapples when they want the seeds out, they shred them into a pile of mulch. So you see, we are not neglecting our yard, we are simply contributing to the well being of our neighborhood wildlife.
Look at the happy squirrels now:
