Photographic Evidence
Here we go with probably too many pictures all at once. Just call it catch up.
The bag - felted. The fabric of it looks wonderful, I really like it. It did skew a bit sideways though. I probably could have stretched it a bit more in blocking and maybe that would have straightened it. Carrying it you can’t really tell, and it actually lends itself to sitting more comfortably when it hangs off my shoulder. It’s definitely very usable, just would be hard to line. I will call this a success, and I think also call it done.

These are very nearly done. They are the current project for the Six Sox Knitalong group. It’s Panda Wool in Basil Curry, one US 1 DPN’s. I really like them, the fit is wonderful. I’m so close to finishing I can feel it. Actually, I’m probably feeling the one that is done because I keep putting it on.

Here’s another pair of socks in the works. These are Quill Lace from Knitty. This yarn is Panda Cotton in Vanilla Cream. And just to keep variety in my projects, they are on 2 US size 2 circulars. It’s my first pair done this way and I don’t know what I think really. I probably prefer DPN’s, but this is working too.

Here’s a tank I’m working on for RM. This is the front finished, or maybe it’s the back. It’s in Elann.com Adara, the color is Waterfall, and I’m totally making it up as I go along.

For some more planning ahead, this is to be a Christmas gift. I doubt the person it’s for will ever look here, but if so she should still be surprised that it’s for her. Its the Forest Canopy pattern, the yarn is Mountain Colors Weavers Wool in Sweet Lavender. I really like this yarn, and I really like this pattern. It’s simple enough to figure out without disaster, but complicated enough to really be beautiful. (This photo is awful by the way, I missed the perfect time of day for the light.)

Then I’ve been knitting a few squares for Laura.

Another square on the needles.

Then I got to wondering what I would do when I used up my odds and ends of spare yarn. So I posted a wanted message on my local Freecycle list. Then I got an email from a very nice lady who lives near me who said she had some yarn to spare for this project. And wow, she did have some yarn to spare. She gave me all this:

Wow, huh? That’s a lot of yarn. No way can I knit all this up. So if anybody out there wants to knit a square or two for Rebuilding Greensburg - Block by Block, drop me a line and if I have the $ for the postage on hand, I’ll mail you a skein or two!
Thanks for sticking with this post all the way to the end!

I really like your purse! and everything else. You are too busy!
