When I went to bed last night, it was raining. When RM woke up in the middle of the night, it was raining. When I woke up early this morning, it was raining. After I grabbed an extra hour of sleep and woke up again, it was raining. When I had to let the dogs out, it was raining. After lunch, it was raining. When we left in the early afternoon to run errands, it was raining. When we went to the bank, the thrift store, the video store, the office supply store and the grocery store, it was raining. It’s now after 5:00 p.m. and it’s raining.

It has not stopped raining since last night and I think it’s beginning to wear on everyone’s nerves. We were looking forward to our little town’s fireworks display tonight, but it’s not going to happen. I’m hoping we will survive the rest of the day cooped up with each other.
