Stitch Stitch
Every time I get on a sewing spree, I seem to come up with as many new projects and ideas as I finish. In the end, many things get done yet more things get started, and the end result is a pile on the sewing table just as large as the one I started with. It all hangs out for a few weeks, then the cycle starts all over again.
I’ve knocked out all the mending (seams and buttons and patches and the like) and one of the three fleece jackets. I whipped up two wet bags from some leftover PUL. I made a special Elmo pillow cover for RM so maybe she will stop stealing SW’s special one. I still need to do the other two jackets, the reusable shopping bags and the skirt. I have time for the blankets before the Holidays, but need to keep them in mind. And I’ve decided I need to do a costume for RM for Halloween (of course!) and probably some pajamas for her from the wide variety of flannel I seem to have accumulated. (Girls can have Batman pj’s, can’t they?)
I bartered a knitting project with a friend of mine for RM’s birthday gift; the big two comes up at the end of this month! I’m almost finished with my end of the deal and I’m seeing my friend Monday, so it’s my only fixed in stone/gotta get it done project this weekend. I’m really looking forward to giving her what I’m making. I hope she likes it! Isn’t this all so enigmatic of me? Honestly, I only stall because I’ve taken no pictures of anything.
Now I’ve just now discovered one more project for the “to do” list. Remember I fixed my RSS feeds recently? It seems I’ve killed my category archive in the process. Rats.
