Baggy
I seem to be finishing things this month, although I hesitate to say that out loud as it might break the streak. It’s odd as busy as I feel and as few spare minutes as I have. But I haven’t been able to get out too much and I need something to do for me. So I’ve polished off a couple of things the last few weeks and I’m itching to do the finishing touches on a couple more. I’m even making some progress on stuff that’s not close enough to finish off.
Here is one more, the Everlasting Bagstopper from Knitty. The hemp yarn called for in the pattern was not in my budget - really any new yarn has not been in my budget lately - but a couple of inexpensive balls of Sugar and Cream (that I had lying around anyway) makes up a really nice little bag in this pattern.

It’s not quite as deep and doesn’t stretch as big as the one pictured with the pattern, but it’s still a nice roomy bag. Instead of the ribbon handles I made padded fabric ones for a little more comfort. I didn’t add the drawstring to make it tuck in and fold up all nice either, but I may still; it’s an easy final add on.

I like this bag quite a bit. The colors from the two balls didn’t quite go together as well as I’d hoped, but it’s still pretty and very functional, especially considering how often I seem to find myself with lots of “stuff” to carry around.
I’m plugging away at a couple more sanity saving projects this weekend to keep me entertained between chores. I think it’s keeping me calmer. Maybe I need to get the boys to knit or crochet or something to calm them down some as well.
