Toddlers and Sewing Machines
I was working very hard this weekend knocking out squares to finish these quilts for my nieces. I’m running out of time; plus I really want to see how they come out.
I got back to it this morning, stitched up another strip to a group of squares and noticed it’s totally messed up; I have loose threads everywhere. I’d been meaning to change the needle so I did that. Was due to oil everything so I opened it up and took care of that too. Completely re-wound the bobbin and re-threaded everything. Stitched a long line on a scrap of fabric and it’s still the same big mess.
So I’m in a panic at this point thinking “where is my old machine,” and “does it still work,” and “can I get to Mom’s to borrow hers,” and “what am I going to do?” Yikes.
Then I finally notice that Missy RM has cruised by at some point and set the upper tension to “0″. Ahhh, perhaps that’s the problem?
Boy she keeps me on my toes!

I’m glad you figured out what was wrong. My bigger kids mess with mine instead of the baby.
