Tiger Eye
Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008I should probably finish up my 2007 projects list so I can get started on a 2008 one. I have actually finished one small new project already - finished save for a button. I’ll either attach that today, or in a few weeks if I follow my usual pattern of behavior.
Here is the completed Tiger Eye Lace Scarf I made for my Mother.

She seemed absolutely delighted by it. She even called me one afternoon to tell me she was headed out to run errands, and was wearing her scarf.
The yarn is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in Flame. Knit on US 4’s. I did 12 repeats for each half and grafted them together. I’m thinking the finished blocked length was around 45 inches, give or take. (I should remember to write these things down.)

My Stepmom seemed equally happy with her Forest Canopy. I didn’t get to see my Dad hope his gift, the Irish Hiking scarf though, a family emergency and his work schedule got in the way. I haven’t heard from him either. That’s typical though, he either hated it or he is just being his usual busy-in-his-own-world self.
