I Interrupt This Silence…
to share a new work in progress. I’m really, really excited about this one.
When the latest Knitty came out, I fell in love with Helena. It’s adorable, easy enough but not boring easy (for my skill level at least), and sized up to a 4T which should work for RM plus leave a little room to grow.
Then I needed the perfect yarn. I kept the project in the back of my mind for a few weeks, paying attention here and there and online, but didn’t see anything. Then week before last when I made the time to hang out with my Saturday knitting friends, Kay brought along a new colorway from her Dome Hill Yarns. One week later I brought it home and wound it up.
She calls it Princess, and it’s bright, vibrant and cheerful just like my RM. Absolutely perfect.
So can you believe I even swatched? (That same day of course.)
Then I cast on that very night and have been knitting every chance I get!
Now if Arthur will just stay out of the way…….
It is so pretty. I can hardly wait to see it finished.

On my gosh, Tracy, that is so darn pretty. I love that project and it will be PERFECT for R. I’m so excited. Can’t wait to see it in person. That yarn is absolutely gorgeous and will be a good choice for the pattern.

The color is lovely and it looks like it is knitting up fast. can’t wait to see the finished product. And Arthur looks just like a little version of my Pooh cat, who also loves to eat yarn when I’m knitting.
